At the core of the design is a non-metallic GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) central strength member, providing structural integrity and supporting the SZ-stranded loose tube architecture. Each tube contains a 108-fiber high-density ribbon stack, allowing fast, cost-effective mass fusion splicing while maximizing fiber density per duct.
The entire core is filled with jelly compound and water-blocking yarns, and protected by a UV-resistant HDPE jacket, enabling deployment in direct burial, duct, or aerial environments. Despite the high fiber count, the cable maintains a compact 23.4 mm diameter, reducing friction in tight conduit runs.
